We’re excited to announce that, beginning April 1, 2026, CPAs and CPA candidates and their eligible immediate family members in the Northwest Territories and Nunavut will gain access to CPA Assist.
Supporting Mental Health Across the Profession
Mental health challenges affect individuals across all ages, professions, and cultures, and the accounting profession is no exception. Supporting mental health is critical because personal stress, burnout, addiction, and other challenges can significantly impact both personal well-being and professional performance.
The CPA Assist program started in Alberta in 2012 and expanded its services in 2019 to CPAs in Saskatchewan. To date, the program has helped over 1,880 individuals. The decision to ask for help is often difficult. Despite growing awareness, countless individuals still struggle to access the mental health care they need, underscoring the importance of expanding accessible support programs.
We look forward to working with CPA Northwest Territories and Nunavut and serving more of the CPA profession!
