Help share CPA Assist services and programs
CPA Alberta has engaged Ember Experience to conduct a focus group to better understand the experiences of CPAs and CPA candidates in Alberta and Saskatchewan with CPA Assist. We are inviting CPAs to participate in two virtual focus groups during the week of June 23. These sessions will explore the unique challenges and pressures faced by CPAs and how CPA Assist can provide meaningful, accessible support.
Why participate?
Your insights and lived experiences will directly inform the future of CPA Assist services and help ensure they are relevant, accessible, and responsive to the real experiences of CPAs. Participants will also receive a digital gift card after completing the session as appreciation for their contribution.
Group 1: CPA practitioners
June 24, 12 noon MT
This session will explore the unique challenges and pressures faced by practitioners who own or manage a firm and how CPA Assist can provide meaningful, accessible support.
What we hope to explore:
- The unique stressors and pressures you experience
- How you currently maintain your mental health and wellness
- What supports or resources would be most useful to you
- Any barriers you face when accessing professional or peer support
Group 2: Individuals who haven’t used CPA Assist
June 26, 12 noon MT
This session will explore what gets in the way of accessing wellness services and how CPA Assist can become more inclusive and supportive.
What we hope to explore:
- What has made it hard to reach out for support
- The role of a workplace or professional culture in seeking help
- Whether stigma affects your willingness to engage with wellness resources
- What could reduce barriers or normalize getting help
Please note: To ensure a diverse and relevant group, we are conducting a brief screening process. Not all respondents will be selected to participate.
