Service Provider Update

Last updated: May 27, 2026

This summer, CPA Assist is transitioning to a new service servicer to provide confidential, free counselling to Alberta, Saskatchewan, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut CPAs, candidates, and their immediate families. As continuity of care and client confidentiality are our top priorities, the transition process will be managed carefully and in line with privacy and consent requirements. Please refer to this page for updates and information about the transition.

  • Continuity of care is a professional requirement: Psychologists and social workers must plan for uninterrupted, appropriate care during transitions, including clear handoffs, appropriate referrals when needed, and secure handling of records with informed consent.
  • We are working to maintain continuity of support: CPA Assist is working to put a new provider in place and to support a smooth transition of services with as little disruption as possible.
  • Your care and privacy remain our top priorities: The transition process will be managed carefully and in line with confidentiality and consent requirements.
  • What you need to do right now: Nothing. You can continue to call 1-855-596-4222 to access services throughout the transition.
  • Existing clients and appointments: As transition details are finalized, existing clients will receive clear communication about next steps, including available care options and how future appointments will be managed. Existing appointments will continue as scheduled.
  • Records and information: Client information is protected. Any transfer of information will follow privacy laws and will be supported by appropriate consent processes where required.

You control your care choices. You may continue with support through the program once the new provider is in place, or you may choose other options that best suit your individual treatment needs.

CPA Assist will share program updates by email and/or through website and social media notices. Existing clients may also receive direct communication from their counsellor or provider about next steps and care options.
