CPA Assist is transitioning to a new service provider to deliver confidential, free counselling to Alberta, Saskatchewan, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut CPAs, candidates, and their immediate families. As continuity of care and client confidentiality are our top priorities, the transition process will be managed thoughtfully and in line with privacy and consent requirements. Please refer to this page for updates and information about the transition.
New service provider: Wellness Psychology
CPA Assist has selected Wellness Psychology, a trusted provider of confidential mental health support for individuals navigating personal, professional, and workplace challenges, to be the new service provider for the program. Their experienced team delivers high-quality care with a practical, client-focused approach, and is committed to the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality.
What is changing?
- Business hours will be changing from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- After-hours crisis support is shifting to align with current best practice in employee and family assistance program (EFAP) protocol. Individuals in crisis who call outside of business hours will receive explicit crisis routing instructions and be connected immediately to clinically appropriate, well-resourced services.
- Network of providers. Some counsellors from the previous service provider may not be part of Wellness Psychology’s network. In these situations, clients may choose to continue working with their current counsellor outside of the program and assume any associated out-of-pocket costs, or they can choose to transition to a counsellor within the new provider’s network with costs covered under the program. Support will be available to help clients understand their options and make the choice that best meets their needs.
When will Wellness Psychology start taking new appointments?
Wellness Psychology will begin accepting new appointments starting June 29. At that time, clients can call or email to book new appointments or inquire about services.
